Amze Emmons is Philadelphia-based, multi-disciplinary artist, writer, illustrator, and curator. Born in Amsterdam, New York (1974). He received a BFA Ohio Wesleyan University. He went on to receive his MA and MFA from the University of Iowa. Mr. Emmons has had solo exhibitions at, Space 1026, Philadelphia; OHT Gallery, Boston; Works on Paper Gallery, Philadelphia.

His work has been included in group exhibitions at, EFA Project Space, New York; Area 405, Baltimore; OH Projects, Boston; Nexus Gallery, Philadelphia; The Delaware Center for Contemporary Art, Wilmington; Hiestand Galleries, Miami University (2008 Young Painters Competition); Vox Populi, Philadelphia; International Print Center, New York; OSP Gallery, Boston; Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines; Wendy Cooper Gallery, Chicago; The Print Center, Philadelphia; ZG Gallery, Chicago; Arena, New York. He has received numerous awards including, a Fellowship in the Arts from the Independence Foundation; an Individual Creative Artist Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Arts Council; and a Fellowship at the Macdowell Colony. He has taught at the University of Vermont and the University of Iowa.

He is currently an associate professor of art at Muhlenberg College. Mr. Emmons is also a co-founder and contributor of the popular art blog, Printeresting.org, "The thinking person's favorite online resource for interesting printmaking miscellany."
